On my Linux Mint machine. I heard earlier this year that latest updates to Firefox are going to allow Mozilla to track and spy on everything you do in the browser - sites you visit, bank account numbers, account passwords, everything, and do whatever they want with that information. Fuck that shit; I haven't updated my installation of Firefox since February.
But I can't keep surfing the internet on an outdated browser: the risks of infection are too high. So, I've decided to switch. I'm not going LibreWolf, because apparently the developers are woke as fuck, i.e., soy retards who will probably let their politics get in the way of making a quality product. I've heard good things about Brave and Floorp (and I even use Brave to manage my job applications, and job hunting email account), but I don't want a Chromium-based browser because, among other reasons, Jewgle is trying to kill adblockers, and one avenue of that approach is their damnedable browser engine. Floorp also seems a little too complex for me to just jump into right away.
So, I've settled on trying Waterfox. It's basically indistinguishable from Firefox at this point in time, and everything seems to be running fine. Even the adblockers on jewtube, wildly enough! I think I'll be using this one for a while, and see if I can't get settled in. I'm noticing the logo is corporatized, though; but hopefully, that's just for show.
The only thing I'm concerned about is whether or not Waterfox will show up in Linux Mint's Update Manager. I have it installed on an external microSD card, because there isn't enough space for a flatpak installation on my main hard drive, so I don't know if the system will pick up on that, or not. I hope it does, or keeping it up-to-date is going to be a real nightmare headache.
